MARVIN "SMOKEY"
MONTGOMERY Grammy nominated musician/ songwriter Montgomery is one of the legendary Light Crust Doughboys. He earned the title of "Mr. Tenor Banjo" and Bob Wills called him "a genius on that banjo". He recorded in Dallas on the same day as Robert Johnson. Montgomery went on to produce the 1960 hit record "Hey Baby" by Bruce Chanel. A song he wrote, "Pussy, Pussy, Pussy," was used in the 1996 Demi Moore-Burt Reynolds flick, Striptease. |
